What you read and listen to in Vois stays on your iPhone. Vois turns text into speech on the device, and there's no account.

What stays on your iPhone

The articles, links, text, PDFs and photos you add, the speech Vois generates from them, your Voice Studio clips, your listening progress and your settings are stored only on your iPhone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Text in photos and scans is recognized on the device.

When Vois uses the internet

Articles you add by link. Vois downloads the page from its website, the way a browser would, so it can read it to you. That website sees an ordinary request for the page.

Multilingual voices. The first time you use a language other than English, Vois downloads its voice model from models.vois.me. Like any website, the servers that deliver the files keep standard request logs (such as IP address and time) for security and delivery, and these aren't used to identify you or to track what you read.

Purchases. Vois Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment; Vois only learns whether Pro is unlocked on your Apple Account.

Anonymous usage data

To make Vois faster and better, the app sends anonymous usage data: which features are used (for example, that an article was imported from a link, or that playback started), and how the app performs (for example, how fast speech was generated, on which iPhone model and iOS version). Counts are rounded into ranges.

It never includes what you read or listen to: no article text, titles, links or Voice Studio text. It isn't linked to you: there's no account, no IP address or location is stored, and the random identifier used to count events is replaced every month. It isn't used for advertising or tracking, and isn't shared with anyone. It's processed by PostHog on our behalf.

You can turn it off at any time in Vois: Settings › Share anonymous usage data.

The Safari extension and Save to Vois

They run only when you tap them. They read the page you're viewing to find the article, and hand it to the Vois app on your iPhone. They don't see your browsing otherwise.

What we don't do

No accounts, no advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, and no selling of data.

Children

Vois doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Delete an article in Vois, clear generated speech in Settings, or delete the app to remove everything it stored.
